James Madison University class of 2019
Major: Media Arts and Design Concentration: Converged Media Minor: Communication Concentration: Cultural Communication |
I started graphic designing in high school. I got into the class out of luck after I decided that my computer engineering class wasn't something I wanted to pursue. I instantly loved it!
At first, I wasn't sure if I was going to be any good at it. But after I started to learn Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, I realized that I can incorporate my love for food into my projects! I started designing faux restaurant applications and flyers with food illustrated all over them. I brought this same passion in college and let it grow from there! Now my passion for food and design can be digitally shared with everyone. |
I started getting more involved in photography when I started college. I was inspired by my roommate who is a professional portrait and wedding photographer. Once I bought my first DSLR Cannon t5i Rebel, I started to take photos of what I ate and the restaurants I ate them at. This manifested into the food blog I have today.
I am the most comfortable photographing food but I have also started photographing my friends to practice portraits. I have also been trying to photograph landscapes of places I travel. Photography is giving me a new light in developing my creativity! |
